New Junior School Website
Just visit www.mcjuniorschool.org for all the latest Junior School news and headlines. We are anxious to open in September 2010. We’ll be working hard over the summer to ensure that the Morris Plains campus is bright, inviting and a terrific environment for learning.

Transition Nearly Complete: June Update
Our transition from St. Virgil School to St. Virgil Academy and Morris Catholic Junior School is nearly complete. We have hosted two Open Houses in the past seven weeks and continue to register students. Earlier today, registration packets went out to next year’s 6-8 grade students. As some families have students in both the lower and upper grades, it was important for us to be clear and to the point. The packets should arrive in homes on Saturday, March 13.

What Makes for a Great Middle School?
From across the country comes this report about great middle schools. It turns out, not surprisingly that middle school success is directly tied in with high academic expectations. It also reports that middle schools which point students towards high school curricula are often better prepared for grades 9-12.

First Transition Team Meeting a Success
Our first transition team meeting was held on Wednesday Feb. 24 from 7-9pm in the library. Fr. Francis and Mike St. Pierre were present along with Patricia Deleu from the Diocese who chairs the team.
